What is NARA and how does it work?
NARA (Notification, Analysis and Risk Assessment) is an automatic
footage review service. It uses a ground-breaking cloud-based computer vision model
to automatically review footage and identify collisions, near misses and false
positives (such as speed bumps).
- A shock event, accompanied
by vehicle collision footage, is classified as ‘Critical’ by NARA
- A harsh maneuver event (e.g.
Turn) could be classified as ‘Requires Intervention’ by NARA
- A harsh maneuver event, accompanied
by near miss footage, could be classified as ‘Requires Intervention’ with
‘Near Miss’ by NARA
- If none of the above occur,
the event is typically classified as ‘Dismissed’ by NARA.
